July 10, 2013,
We were on the road around 8:30 and basically most of
the day was uneventful. North Dakota was so much greener than one would expect.
But they have had much more rain than usual this year. There is standing water
everywhere and of course the fields are green green green.
We crossed into Minnesota and it is less flat and has
a lot more trees. All along the median
there were these strange yellow flowers. At first I thought they were
dandelions but when we stopped at a tourist information area I was able to get
a good look. I have no idea what they are. They are tiny and lobbed.
Tonight we are at a KOA in the community of Bemidji.
Tomorrow we head for Lake Superior and three new
lighthouses to add to our collection.
