We are currently parked under a wonderful shade tree at Roughrider campground just barely in Minot .
It is cooling off nicely and a wonderful breeze is blowing through the trees and we can hear a diesel train blowing its horn quite nearby. The train is putting a big smile on Ken's face.
We got away from Whitfish around 10:30 on Friday morning, they replaced the fuel filter and said all was great and it was great, that red light stayed off. We toodled along enjoying the day and the scenery. Around noon we were at the Mariah pass so we enjoyed the break and had our lunch.
Within 10 minutes of leaving the snow covered mountains we were in a completely different area geographically. We were in the flat grasslands of Montana.
Around five that foolish light began to come on again. We spent the night at Malta in a city park.
We drove carefully all day with Ken frowning and shaking his head. There is no change in the running of the truck in any way. We just have that crazy light.
Ken has concluded that it could very well be a faulty gauge but since it is a fuel pressure indicator and because a replacement of the part it is connected to will cost around $5000.00 to replace we have decided to be sure rather than sorry.
So we are going to explore Minot and have the truck checked again on Monday morning.
I have never been here before and there is a zoo and not one but 2 museums for Ken to explore so it will be fun.
It is so grand to travel and not be in a big hurry and not have to be in a particular place at a particular time.
