Travelling Day

We left Wolfville exactly at eight in the morning. Inez cooked us a great breakfast, we loaded the car and said out good byes. The day was not ideal. We had periods of gray sky, periods of showers, periods of rain and the odd bit of sunshine.

We arrived in Sydney at 2:30. I called Linda and David and away we went.

I am really impressed with the development in the city. We were greeted by 2 cruise ships docked in the harbour. One was the Sky princess and we are booked to sail on her in June. She is GIGANTIC!

Dr Cox took us across the old steel plant property. They have done a great job of developing that. It was strange to come up from the lower end of Lingan Road.

We were greeted with hugs when we arrived at David and Linda's. Then they took us to see his train layout. David has MS and has limited mobility. It is truly amazing to see what he has done. He is a Lionel enthusiast and he has spent the past 20 years designing and building the layout. It takes up the entire basement of their home.

When we left we drove past the street I lived on. The house still looks good.

The house I bought when I returned East.

Parents Home I grew up here.

We returned to the motel and we were so tired that it was not long before we were in bed. We have decided that we are just too old to put in such a long driving day.

Tomorrow we travel around the Cabot Trail and we lodge in Ingonish Beach.

Keeping fingers crossed that the sun will shine.
