1954, and have become iconic of Catalina’s natural landscape.

to bring a regular sized car over to the island you must be a full time
resident and you must put your name on a waiting list. Your parents usually put
you name on a list when you are born and you just have to hope that enough
people die or move that you name will come to the top of the list.
