Cable cars, the Golden Gate rising from the fog - welcome to San Francisco, arguably the most romantic and cosmopolitan city in the United States. Climate:
San Francisco’s Mediterranean climate has mild wet wintyers and cool dry summers. May to October is mild to warm with average high temperatures of 64 to 71 and lows of 51 to 56.

Paint Cycle,
The Golden Gate Bridge doesn’t come by its orange color easily. By the time the paint crew gets from one end to the other it is time to begin the entire project again.

The Rock,
On March 21,1963 Attorney General Robert Kennedy ordered Alcatraz Federal Prison to release its last inmates. Over 29 years there were 14 attempts by 36 prisoners, but there are no documented successful escapes from Alcatraz.

Blue Jeans
San Francisco is the birthplace of denim jeans. They were invented during the Gold Rush for miners who needed comfortable strong pants.

All aboard!!
At 4 o’clock in the afternoon on August 2nd, 1873, Andres Smith Hallidie tested the first cable car on Clay Street in San Francisco. This historic and unique mode of transportation still is operating today.
