We had a grand time in new Glasgow, My cousin Phyllis and I always enjoy each others company and she has a wonderful family. We were also able to spend time with other friends as well. Sandra and Bassie are consummate hosts.
The next stop was Coldbrook, which is just outside of Kentville. Our friend Inez lives here and we are able to park the trailer in her yard. We spent Monday night talking non stop and then the next morning we headed for Petite Riviere. Ken's cousin Dawn and her husband live here.
We visited with them and then on Wednesday morning when we sat down for breakfast there was a birthday card, a muffin , a candle and a happy birthday sign playing Happy Birthday to me, a perfect way to begin the day.
After breakfast Ken and I walked the beach for a while. ( we didn't find any sea glass) The water was too cold to get more than knees wet.
We said our good byes and headed for Yarmouth.
In Yarmouth we visited a dear old friend from College, Gwen Spinney. She lives in a beautiful old house with so much charm. She was so glad to see us and we spent the afternoon catching up. Then in the evening Gwen took us out to dinner. It was a lovely little spot with amazing sea food and a live band. They brought me a birthday cupcake and sang happy birthday. A grand way to end a birthday!
