Today we went on a tour of the Hull Oakes Lumber Company Nd it was completely fascinating. It is the oldest operating steam powered lumber company in the United States. It makes product that no one else can make. In other words it does speciality orders. Every thing they produce is pre ordered before it is cuy and they make very specissl one of a kind items such as 85 foot beams for large structures and wooden gutter systems for very old home restorations. I enjoyed every minute of the tour. Amazingly it is a fourth generation family owned business.
