May 2nd continued

Yesterday began a little hazy but very nice and most importantly not too hot.
The Disney Wonder arrived just after us. She is a very attractive ship.

From our balcony we could see the pirate ship. We did an excursion on her once and it was a lot of fun.

We left our cabin about 15 minutes early and while we were in line our bus was called. It loaded early so we were glad we went down early.

We were given a good tour of the area. Our guide was very good and he had a mic so it was great.
He told us a lot about the city and soon we arrived at our destination, The Hyatt.

This is a first class hotel with all of the amenities you could imagine. There are several pools, bars restaurants activities etc.

There were plenty of places to sit with lots of shady spots. We decided on the 2 we liked. Next to us was a table with some abandoned lunch. A couple of birds were feasting.

There was a sign explaining the various flags and their meanings as to sea conditions.

For the next 4 hours we can have all of the food or drink that we want.It is morning so Ken and I really are not interested in drinking. Ken ordered a Mai Tai and it was so strong that he gave me half to put into my diet coke. But we did have lunch at the Buffet.

We enjoyed the sea.

Ken loves to play in the waves and you can see by the pictures that he wore his glasses. Suddenly a large wave hit and his glasses were gone. I was certain that was the last we would see of  it. Ken stayed in the waves and continued to look and I could not believe it but miracle of all miracles he spied them and was able to duck under the waves and retrieve them.

After that we decided it was time to go for lunch and tour some more of the facilities.

There were people offering the chance to fly high. I watch and enjoyed the visual but we did not inquire as to the cost.

At 1:10 we headed back to the ship. This was a great excursion and I would choose it again. By the time we got back it had become quite hot so the air conditioning was welcomed.

We are at sea today and it is formal night tonight... the last one for this cruise.
