Spanish Galleon Harbor Cruise/ April27

This is what they tell us we will be doing tomorrow. The tour goes from 10:30 until one. I will report on how it went.

Tour Overview

Your tour begins as you board a Spanish galleon boat at the pier, greeted by a host of pirates who offer you a cold beverage. Sit back and relax for approximately two hours as you cruise around the picturesque harbor, once the site of battles between the Spanish, pirates, and buccaneers. You'll view Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas (Fort of San Felipe), the most imposing fortress ever built by any colonial power in the Americas. This 17th-century construction is the largest Spanish fort in the New World, representing the most important work of Spanish military engineering in South America. Several other important colonial buildings and the wall surrounding the "Old City" will also be within sight. Your tour concludes with a brief presentation of Colombian local dances.
