We will not be making the planned stops at Apia or Pago Pago
Because we have been to these islands before it has been difficult to find excursions we want to do.
We have Whale Watching in Lahaina and for the rest of the stops we will make plans when we see what the weather is and what tours will be available from the shore vendors.
We decided to try breakfast upstairs because our table mates spoke so highly of the omlettes.
They have it set up so that you choose what you want in your omelet and bring it to the chef. He takes it and gives you a buzzer. When your omelet is cooked the buzzer lets you know to come and get it. It was very nice but we will go back to the dining room.
After breakfast we went to the Princess theatre for a destination lecture on Kauai. It was interesting but it made us realize how much of this island we have already experienced
I happened upon the vegetable carving. These guys are artists to be sure.
I went to the On Board Outlet sale and found a very nice outfit for half price...Yeah Princess!
Next event was a lecture on the volcanoes with emphases on the 2018 eruptions.
It was very informative.
We met Denny and Dru for lunch. We met them at 12:30 and before we knew it the clock read two o'clock. I spent the afternoon catching up on the blog.
We had a good dinner and then the day came to an end.
We dock early tomorrow morning and what we will do will be a surprise to me as well as you.
Till then!!!

Tuesday???
It was a busy day and a late night so I did not get the blog written so here I go.
We had breakfast in the dining room and it became a bit unpleasant. One couple were commenting on Harry and Megan and they had strong opinions. According to them it was Megan's fault, she had planned this move from the beginning, she influenced Harry to leave, Harry was not Charles son, proof was his red hair, Little Archie was really a black child and that is why it was a couple of days before anyone saw him, they swaped him out for a white baby.... and it went on and on. I made some comments but it was clear they could not have been reasoned with so I gave up. Well I spent the next couple of hours so angry with myself for not having done more, for not clearly telling them that I thought they were racist fools. This world has become a strange place.
I went to customer service to ask if we could use our old paper coffee cards, one ones without a date. I was told that I could because they would trade the cards for a goodwill credit which would show on my account as an OBC. I was so pleased. I got 38.68. That was good news indeed
The next place was a stop to see Abagail, the captain's circle rep, she remembered me and was glad to visit. She told me that there are 1800 Platinum and Elite passengers on board. She also let me know that we did not make the cut for the special lunch with the officers. The cut off is 680 so having 500 days at sea is really a small number in this crowd.
We had our lunch in the Fresh Market. It is really quite nice and bright and the decor is lovely. We each had a nice lunch. I had lots of fresh fruit.
We decided to check out the new place called Coffee and cones. They have special coffees and milk shakes and ice cream specials as well as the free soft ice cream cones. The other items are not free.
Much to our surprise they had real wooden spoons for the ice cream, no plastic.... great!!
After lunch I listened to piano melodies by Marius Beatica. He was really talented.
Because we have purchased art from the ship before we received a SPECIAL VIP invitation to attend a special unveiling complete with Champagne. When we arrived we were given special lanyards that will give us special entry to auctions and the like being sponsored by Princess Fine Arts.
The champagne was good and the art was really beautiful.
On our way back to the cabin we stopped to enjoy the Hawaiian music being performed in he piazza by Kimo and Lokelina
While we were dressing for dinner the captain announced that we would not be going to Samoa. Apia and Pago Pago. have decided not to allow the ship to dock for fear of bringing the virus to their islands. So we have an itinerary change . We will be spending 5 days in Hawaii instead of 3 with calls to Kona and Hilo. We will also be spending another night in Tahiti. No longer will we be crossing the dateline so we will have Valentines Day.. Lots of changes.
Of course it was the topic of conversation at dinner. Dinner was excellent as usual and we choose to share our Milestone cake with everyone.
After dinner we rushed upstairs to club Fusion to see Carlos Oscar. He did not disappoint he was even funnier. I wish he was staying on but sadly he gets off in Honolulu.
Next we enjoyed the amazing talent of LADO strings. It is a young couple who performs magic with their violins. They played everything from opera to the Beatles.
We knew Denny and Dru Sharnk were on board but we did not run into them until last evening. They were listening to the Violins as well.
We ended our evening by going to the Princess Theatre to hear Andrew Geater.

Busy Day
This was a very busy day.
We slept until almost eight and then got ready and went quickly to breakfast. I finally got our door decorated. There is another decorated just down the hall from us.She has nice red garland around her door.
In the dining room we were joined by 4 others and one couple was from Kingston and one was from Colorado.
After breakfast I checked our a couple of games being played in the Piazza.
I went to customer service and learned I could get OBC for unused punches in an old coffee card.
Then I watched a bit of line dancing.
Then I went to the 10 dollar sale. I did not buy anything which is unusual for me.
Next I met up with Ken and we went to a lecture on Art history. We learned about the theft of the Mona Lesa and how it changed people's interest in viewing art. It was really quite fascinating and the speaker was good.
Next we went up to the World Fresh Market. It is the replacement for Horizon Court. The lay out is very nice and it is nice and bright. They had a good selection of fresh fruit which really pleased me. I had fruit and a cookie for lunch.
After lunch we went back to the Princess Theatre and this time the topic was Volcanoes and how volcanic Islands are formed. This lecture included several videos and it was very informative and entertaining.
After that I came back here to the room to do my hair.
Next it was off to Skywalkers for the Cruise Critic Meet and Greet. There were about a hundred people there. It was the biggest turn out for one of those functions that I have ever seen.
Apparently we are not having a February 14th but we are having 2 February 15th. So Valentines will be celebrated with lots and lots of festivities on the SECOND February 15th.
After that it was back to the cabin to shower and get ready for formal night. Of course we had to open our champagne and enjoy it
Formal night dinner was very good and we had a Norman Love Chocolate journey for dessert. YUMMY
We stopped to have a quick peak at the Champagne waterfall and then headed for the theatre.
We got to the theatre early so there was lots of time for people watching. I saw some beautiful evening wear.. The evening production show with the Princess orchestra and singers and dancers was titled "I've Got the Music". I am always amazed by the energy and the quick costume changes.
By now we were a bit tired so we came back to the cabin to relax and finish our champagne. There was a talk on the 50's that took place while we were at the meet and greet so we watched it on our stateroom TV.
As soon as I am finished this I will be under the covers. Ken is also asleep.
PS, the sea was much calmer and it is getting warmer. We are about half way to Hawaii so things look up from now on.

Sunday February 2nd
Well the ship did a lot of rocking last night but we slept well. We got up around 7:30 and got ready and went to the dining room. Our table mates were from Mass. and Connecticut. It was a lady with her husband and her sister in law. Again they seemed to be very nice people and we avoided any talk about Trump. So far so good. Ken left his glasses behind but because we had given the table mates a card they could take the glasses to Customer service and tell them who owned the glasses. When we came into the room there was a message on the phone advising Ken that he could come and get his glasses.
By then the ship was REALLY rocking. It was not long before I felt ill. So I laid down and napped and watched TV and enjoyed my flowers.
This was Super Bowl Sunday so all of the lounges were filled with people enjoying the game.
I took Gravol so I could go to supper. It worked.
Mary and Frank were a bit late so we were wondering if they were seasick and not coming. But they did make it.
Al and Jan were there right after us. We are going to change locations of our seats every night so we all get a chance to enjoy the window.
After supper we went to the Princess Theatre to hear Carlos Oscar. He is a fabulous comedian and even though we had heard him before we thoroughly enjoyed his performance and had a good laugh.
It is about 9:30 and the ship is still doing a jig. It is quite normal for the first 2 days on our way to Hawaii to be cool and a bit rough.
I am going to call it a night.
Tomorrow is formal night. It is the Captain's welcome aboard party.
We still have not opened our champagne. Perhaps tomorrow will be the day.
nite nite!!!
